If you tap on one of these buttons Playlisty will filter your playlist to show just those items which are flagged with that colour.
Items flagged with green & blue icons have found excellent matches in Apple Music’s catalog (assuming you are using Playlisty for Apple Music). There’s nothing more you need to do with these – they will be part of your playlist when you hit “Save”.
Red and amber are the ones you need to focus on. Hopefully there won’t be many of these (if any) but the process for checking them is the same:
- Tap on the red or amber button at the top of the list and it will filter on rows with that colour.
- If you are looking at amber ones you can see how Playlisty matched each one – there’s an arrow going from what, say, Spotify had to what Playlisty found on, say, Apple Music. If you are happy with the suggested option on an amber track, do nothing and leave it as it is. It will be saved with your playlist.
- To “fix” the red rows and any amber ones you aren’t happy with, tap on the row and after a moment you should see a horizontal list of possible alternatives, if there are any.
- To fix that row simply tap on the one that looks like the best match. If there aren’t any, you can tweak the text that Playlisty is using to search for your track and press enter to search again. Note that not all tracks are available on all services.
- Then rinse & repeat with the remaining rows.
If you:
- have an amber track and you aren’t happy with the match and you can’t find an alternative
- have any other blue or green track you don’t want to include in the final version of your playlist for whatever reason
…use the Skip button to tell Playlisty not to include that track when saving the final playlist.
When you are happy, don’t forget to tap the “Save” button to start the process of actually saving your playlist.
