What do I need to do about RAG rating of matches after importing playlists?

After matching, the green & blue icons mean you have a perfect match on those tracks, so there’s nothing more to do.

You need to focus on the red or amber ones. Hopefully there won’t be many of these (if any) but the process for checking them is the same:

  1. Tap on the red or amber button at the top of the list and it will filter on rows with that colour.
  2. If you are looking at amber ones you can see how Playlisty matched each one just by looking at the row. There’s an arrow going from what Spotify had to what Playlisty found on Apple Music (or vice versa). If you are happy with the suggested option on an amber track, do nothing and leave it as it is.
  3. For the red rows and the amber ones you aren’t happy with, tap on the row and after a moment you should see a horizontal list of possible alternatives, if there are any.
  4. To fix that row simply tap on the one that looks like the best match. If there aren’t any you can tweak the text that Playlisty is using to search for your track and press enter to search again. Note that not all tracks are available on all services.
  5. Then rinse & repeat with the remaining rows.

If you:

  • have an amber track and you aren’t happy with the match and you can’t find an alternative
  • have any other track you don’t want to include in the final version of your playlist for whatever reason

…use the Skip button to tell Playlisty not to include that track when saving the final playlist.

When you are happy, don’t forget to tap the “Save” button to start the process of actually saving your playlist.
